Sanskrit and Tamil are the two Classical languages of India. The number of dialects in India is as high as 1,652. India is a peace loving country which never invaded any country in her last 1000 years of history. India invented the number system and zero was invented by Aryabhatta. The world's first University was established in Takshila in 700 BC. More than 10,500 students from all over the world studied more than 60 subjects. Ayurveda is the earliest school of medicine known to humans. The brain game Chess was invented in India. Sushruta is the father of surgery who conducted surgeries like cesareans, cataract, fractures and urinary stones even prior to 2600 years.

Routing & Itinerary

Day 01 :Arrival at Delhi Airport. Meeting & assistance and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi - Jaipur
After breakfast proceed to Jaipur (260 kms/5.5 hrs) to visit Amber Fort - The ancient Capital of the state until 1728. Ascend the hill, on which the fort is situated on Elephant back. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03 : Jaipur
Morning after breakfast proceed for the local city tour of Jaipur covering City Palace, an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards. Later visit Janthar Manthar, the largest and oldest observatory with the largest sundial in the world built of sandstone and Hawa Mahal, popularly known as the Palace of Winds. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04 : Jaipur - Fatepur Sikrikri - Agra
Morning after breakfast, proceed to Agra (240 kms/5 hrs). Enroute visit the deserted capital city of Fatehpur Sikri, built during the second half of the 16th century by Emperor Akbar. Upon arrival at Agra visit Agra Fort built between 1565 and 1573 by Emperor Akbar and followed by Shah Jahan and Aurangazeb. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05 : Agra - Varanasi
Morning after breakfast visit Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is regarded by most modern visitors as the symbol of eternal love is undoubtedly the zenith of Moghul architecture and quite simply one of the world's most marvelous buildings. Built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 to enshrine the mortal remains of his queen Mumtaz Mahal. Check-out at 1200 hrs. Evening transfer to railway station to connect train to Varnasi. Overnight at train.

Day 06 : Varanasi City Tour: Varnasi
Morning arrival at Varanasi Station and transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed for the local sightseeing of Varanasi covering Banaras Hindu University and excursion to Sarnath - the buried Buddhist City, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Visit museum, Stupas & ruins. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07 : Varanasi - Delhi (Train) Over Night Train
Morning enjoy boat ride at River Ganges and visit the Holy Kasi Viswanatha Temple. Check-out hotel at 1200 hrs. In the evening transfer to the railway station to connect train to Delhi. Overnight at train.

Day 08 : Delhi
Morning arrival at Delhi Station and transfer to hotel. Later proceed for the half day local sightseeing of Delhi covering India Gate, Parliament House, Rastrapathy Bhavan and Jami Masjid. Evening free for shopping. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 09 : Delhi - Chennai
Depart Delhi & connect flight to Chennai, the gateway to southern India, established in 1639 by the East India Company, is one of the oldest cities of the country. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed for the local sightseeing of Chennai. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10 : Chennai - Kancheepuram
Morning after breakfast proceed to Kancheepuram (75 kms/2 hrs) to visit Ekambareswar Temple, dedicated to God SHIVA, is one of the largest temples of Kancheepuram and visit Kailasanathar temple, which is the oldest and the most beautiful temple of Kancheepuram. Pallava king built the temple in the 7th century. Kancheepuram is also famous for its silk sarees. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11 : Kancheepuram - Trichy
Morning after breakfast drive to Trichy (270 kms/6 hrs) situated on the banks of Kaveri River is a blend of history and tradition as well as pilgrim centre. It is famous for Ranganatha temple at Srirangam. Upon arrival at Trichy enjoy the city tour of Trichy covering Rock fort and its temple at a height of over 83mts, Srirangam and Jambukeshwar Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 12 : Trichy - Madurai
Morning proceed to Madurai (145 kms/3.5 hrs) to visit Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple and Thirupparankundram Murugan Temple. The Meenakshi Amman Temple dominates the city evolved around it. The temple is mainly dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi and also to Lord Shiva (as Sundareshwar). Later visit Thirupparankundram which is dedicated to Lord Muruga, is noted for its inner sanctum that is cut out of the hard rock. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 13 : Madurai - Rameswaram - Madurai
Morning proceed to Rameswaram (170 kms one way / 4 hrs), the holy island in the Gulf of Mannar, is a major pilgrim centre of the country. Rama sanctified this place by worshipping Lord Shiva after the war against Ravana of Sri Lanka. Upon arrival bathe in 21 sacred wells and visit Ramanathaswamy Temple and then proceed back to Madurai. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14 : Madurai - Kanyakumari
Kanyakumari (242 kms / 5 hrs) is the Southern most tip of India. It is significant not only for its association with a virgin goddess, Kanya Devi, but also as the meeting point of the Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea. Watching the Sun rise and Sun set from here is a big attraction, especially on full Moon day on the same horizon. Also visit the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 15 : Kanyakumari - Palani
Morning witness the Sun Rise & then proceed to Palani (368 kms approx 7 ½ hrs), one of the most important shrines of Lord Muruga. The temple is on top of a hillock and can be reached by a flight of 690 steps.

Day 16 : Palani - Ooty
After breakfast drive to Ooty (206kms/ approx 7 hrs) also known as Udagamandalam is the "Queen of hill stations" and the capital of Nilgiris district. It is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. Nilgiris means "Blue Mountains". It is a land of picturesque picnic spots situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level. After lunch proceed for a local sight seeing of Ooty covering Botanical Garden, Boating in Ooty Lake & enjoy spices shopping in Ooty. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 17 : Ooty - Mysore
After breakfast drive to Mysore (160 kms/5.5 hrs) via Mudhumalai & Bandhipur Wild Life Sanctuary. Upon arrival at Mysore proceed for the local sightseeing of Mysore covering Chamundeeswari Temple, Mysore Maharaja's Palace and Brindhavan Gardens and enjoy shopping at Mysore.
Mysore, the palace city of Karnataka state derived its name from a demon named Mahishasuran, who was killed by Chamundeeswari. It's famous for its silk and is also a thriving sandal wood incense center. The beautiful palace of Mysore walled Indo-Saracenic, occupies the entire southeastern sector of the city center. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 18 : Mysore - Bangalore
After breakfast drive to Bangalore (140 kms/3.5 hrs) which is regarded as "India's Silicon Valley", "Fashion Capital of India", "The Pub City of India", and on. It is India's fifth largest city and the fastest growing city in Asia. The capital of the state of Karnataka, Bangalore is situated halfway between the coasts in southern India. The city was founded in the 16th century, and witnessed great southern dynasties like the Kadambas, the Hoysalas and Vijayanagar emperors. Legend has it that the name Bangalore comes from "boiled beans" (Benda Kaluru), which was served by a humble old lady to a hungry ruler in the 16th century. After lunch at a local restaurant visit ISKON Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 19 : Bangalore - Tirupathi
After breakfast drive to Tirupathi (240 kms/5.5 hrs) a temple town known for the famous ancient temple of Lord Venkateswara (Lord of seven hills or Balaji, as he is affectionately known) on the top of the 860mts high Tirumala hills. The temple of Lord Venkateswara is not only believed to be amongst the oldest temples in the country, but also the richest of them all. Later visit Padmavathi Amman Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 20 : Tirupathi - Thiruthani - Chennai
After breakfast drive to Thiruthani to visit the famous Murugan Temple situated on a hillock. This temple is accessed by a winding flight of 365 steps. Each symbolically represents one day of the year. Here, Lord Muruga sits resplendent with his consort Valli whom he married after bringing her from the nearby Vallimalai. The Thiruthani temple is known for the Karthikai festival it celebrates in December every year. After lunch at a local restaurant proceed to Chennai for overnight stay. Overnight stay at hotel.
